Message to Postmodern America

I have asked everyone to pray to God so that I receive adequate social living circumstances in Washington, D.C., which would allow me to continue being active on the peace & justice and radical environmental frontlines.
I have given up on networking to get a situation in Washington, D.C. because it just doesn't happen, no matter what.

Therefore, I am spending all of my time in Hawaii right now watching the mind. I am spending all of my time watching thoughts. I don't want to be attached to the miserable spectacle which postmodern America has become. I am biding my time in Hawaii, and am willing to leave here if I receive solidarity.

At the moment, I am receiving nothing, in spite of having been to Washington, D.C. 14 times since performing service work there in July of 1991 with Catholic Worker. It is incomprehensible to me that I am not being valued, having as I do, a significant record for activism and also creatively writing about it.

Again, I don't fully know what the hell is the matter with postmodern America. I think that my entire situation is weirder than fuck, and I am only interested in not being attached to any of it. Maybe I figured something out at last!

 What do you think?

Walking around Honolulu, not identifying with either the body nor the mind.

Spent today walking around Honolulu, not identifying with either the body nor the mind.  Brahman, or the Immortal Self, or the Pure Spirit-Soul, or the Dao, or whatever you wish to call ultimate spiritual reality, did everything.  This includes all thinking.  This includes all physical actions.
At precisely 6 P.M. the Plumeria Alternative Hostel held its Saturday BBQ, underneath a mature ficus lyrata tree, with the grill going and the serving table full of salads and sides and a pot of chili and the dessert table was full of pies and cookies and the staff plus regulars plus newcomers all sat down together for one joyful fun evening, as the seasonally cooler Pacific trade winds made it all even more pleasurable.
The table conversation turned to news from the mainland, after we had shared stories of surfing, beach walks, swimming with large green turtles, purple sunsets, and the social action at area clubs and bars.  We have determined that the "deep state" is 50% real and 50% science fiction.  And we would like you to know that the mid-term elections are not interesting, because the same two party junk bond financed visionless swamp dwellers are still being supported by those who have not woken up yet.  This is just not interesting.  I mean, does anybody really believe that the fate of America hinges on whether the republicans or democrats have the majority in the house of representatives?  And lastly, we don't care one bit about 1.Russian hackers, 2.Stormy Daniels, 3.Trump's dilemma insofar as a southern border wall is concerned, and 4.who comes and goes in the west wing.  Nobody at tonight's Plumeria Alternative Hostel BBQ could seriously care less about any of this!  Maybe we have woken up.  I dunno.  You tell me.
And so, I sit here this evening in my air conditioned room, enjoying a turmeric and coconut drink and typing up a message which I will send out to the world shortly.  What should I tell the world, except to "stop identifying with the body and the mind and your problem is solved".  It's that simple.  And by the way, please understand that I refuse to feel unhappy because the glacial ice is melting, and sea level rise is a possibility over the next 20 years.  Of course this might happen.  But seriously, if anyone is really concerned about this, why not move to higher ground, or perfect your surfing skills?  Or both?  As we used to say in Berkeley in the 1970s: "It's not the situation, it's your reaction to the situation".
And so my fellow citizens, I am available to associate with others to intervene in history.  I have some money, and also could leave Oahu if an opportunity presents itself.  But don't hurry me, y'all.  Tomorrow night is the Sunday Love Feast at the Krishna Temple.  I believe that you get my drift.  ~Mahalo~

Message from Honolulu 9/14/18

Good afternoon from Oahu,
Spent Wednesday night at the Tropics bar on "trivia night". Arrived late, and enjoyed two beers and the sports screens.

Took a walk afterwards to the huge Ala Moana shopping center, and visited Lucky Strike social gathering place, which features an arcade and in the back a long bar with enormous sports screens. Splurged on a pint of Blue Moon and a shot o' 18 yr. old Glenlivet scotch, and then dove into a steak cooked medium rare. Took a cab back and visited 7-11 for a Haagen Dazs ice cream before going to sleep.

Awoke with a mild hangover, and headed over to Zippy's restaurant for a mushroom & choi omelette and coffee. Spent the entire day doing mundane errands such as checking mail and purchasing more health drinks from Safeway. Much later, returned to my air conditioned room at the fabulous Plumeria Alternative Hostel, and whilst fingering my black onyx beads, prayed for this world. Since I can't even manage to get community housing for myself in Washington, D.C. (after 14 times being there with peace & justice/radical environmental activists), I have given up on doing anything further. Instead, I am now wholly given over to God, and am now ignoring my mind's thinking and instead relaxing as best that I can, and letting the Higher Self take over.

Today, I feel good. Solid. Not suffering with thoughts about running out of money and dying. Rather, I feel okay that I went out and binged Wednesday evening, and don't even feel guilty that I frittered $80 away. So, since just about everyone whom I know aren't seriously interested in my mystical and social activism reports, I thought that I would send this message out, because in America, this is where almost everyone is at.

Therefore, please enjoy my update here, and of course if I get another worthy opportunity in life, I will take it. But you know what? I am NOT going to suffer any further over it.

Seriously, it's not really my problem.

HELLO AMERICA I'M READY! YOU READY? WHAT'RE WE WAITIN'4???

Please know that I have paid for my room at the Plumeria alternative hostel in Honolulu, Hawaii until September 5th.

I am willing to leave here. I encourage everybody to STOP identifying with the body and the mind, and identify with the core spiritual reality that we all are.

If we don't , then we are all wasting our collective time at this point in political jousting in the United States of America.

On the other hand, if we collectively identify with spiritual reality, and "bring in the spiritual mojo", then it is possible to intervene in history. It's as simple as that. Awaiting replies,

REPLY:
"You come through loud and clear....

"If you could come up with a prayer for the little people - our one-celled cousins, then they, the Great Spirit's first round of living organisms, will intervene for us.  (Shouldn't exceed two words; they're very binary!)"

The present fleeting moment...

Everything is OK here in Honolulu...paid for my room through September 5th...went out last night and enjoyed a couple of beers at the Maui Brewing Co. celebrating the incredible gift that Aretha Franklin will always be. I

understand that everybody with whom I identify in Washington, D.C. is continuing to live on the edge, ready to respond to the alt.right menace (and that the liberals are not particularly in solidarity with us, but would like us to support their protestations).

Feel free to communicate to the liberals that I will be happy to accept their solidarity, and let's start with housing for me; unless of course, they could not care less about destroying the demonic, and only really are committed to enhancing their egos and continuing to put on a protest carnival.
Meanwhile, I've got three weeks unscheduled coming up, so I guess I will just head for the beach and chant mantrams and eat fresh locally sourced food and enjoy the Plumeria alternative hostel Saturday night BBQ.

Stay in touch everybody. Thank you.

Warriorship in Crazy Times

Awoke peacefully in an air conditioned room at the Plumeria Alternative Hostel in central Honolulu, Hawaii.  The balmy summer days are in the mid 80s and the Pacific trade winds gently add to the surreal effect of island living.

Still in the bed, fingering my black onyx beads and watching the mental factory slowly churn out thoughts, then up and doing, straight to the bathroom for morning ablutions.  Putting on spiritually warrior themed jewelry, the necklace featuring a Ganesh with OM on the reverse side, now joined by a Ganesh astride a Tibetan phurba and also a prayer wheel (which actually turns).

The silver and black diamond ring bought in New York's Greenwich Village is worn on the right side, and the Lono God of Peace featuring ocean waves cuff, paired with a Night Rider box toggle bracelet, and the ever accurate Swiss Army automatic watch, are on the left side.

Identifying with the Absolute Divine Reality, not the body and not the mind, reflecting the continuous superconscious state which Sanskrit defines as Sahaja Samadhi Avastha, in the travel hostel room featuring a cloth from India emblazoned with the Krishna Mahamantram, also a small picture of Ganesh found at a thrift store, and a metal figure of the warrior goddess Durga sitting nobly on the writing desk.

Turning on the new Microsoft Surface computer, and surfing the internet for information relevant to peace and justice efforts and worldwide radical environmental campaigns.  The emergency of climate destabilization is of the foremost concern, particularly in view of rising temperatures and increased wildfires.  Checking the Earth First! newswire, followed by checking the DC Indymedia website for news about the occupation of Lafayette Park in front of the White House, it is time to go and get morning coffee and a blueberry scone at the Honolulu Museum of Art.  This will be followed by going into the Indian section and visiting with Lord Sri Krishna, Ganesh, and Durga.  And then, moments of serenity sitting on a bench in front of the water moon Guan Yin murti.

Walking to Chinatown freely, not attached to anything at all, proceeding across the park across the street from the museum, eyes closed and walking easily, the body-mind complex just flows along, guided by it higher source.  It is great fun to walk like this.  NO WORRIES!  Repeating the mantram which Swami Satchidananda taught everybody years ago: "Not the body, not the mind, Immortal Self I am!"  The "guru who opened Woodstock" knew the ultimate reality beyond the horrible samsara, and enjoined everybody else to realize their true nature, and be free.

The subscription to the Washington Post online has run out, and will not be renewed, as well the New York Times online.  After fourteen forays being socio-politically active in Washington, D.C. beginning in June of 1991 with Catholic Worker, there is no mystery left.  Political Washington, D.C. is a deep swamp of greed, hatred, and delusion, with the heroic battling the demonic.  Partly stupid, partly insane, and always chaotic.  That is what contemporary government on the planet earth generally is.  Period.  The entire spectacle is destroying itself, with a little help from my friends.

Not identifying with the body.  Not identifying with the mind.  Immortal Selves we are.  The goddess Pele is going wild on the big island of Hawaii, with a river of molten lava having burnt to a crisp everything in its path, and then entering the Pacific Ocean and obstructing sea lanes.  Shipping companies have changed their routes to avoid the intensely hot material.  Wealthy residents have been evacuated to neighboring islands.  The 60 million dollar homes are gone.  It's all ashes now.  There has never been a clearer example of impermanence.

We spiritual warriors comprise the only community that will ever seriously matter on the earth plane.  As the Tibetan master of crazy wisdom, Chogyam Trungpa remarked: "To be a warrior is to be genuine in every moment of your life".  Everything else is madness.

Since March 29th I have been in the mid-Atlantic region, active in Washington, D.C. and New York City.  Daily going to the Peace Vigil across the street from the White House, providing food and beverages to the vigilers, who continue to maintain the anti-nuclear protest begun in 1982, 24/7, 365.  Also met with D.C. Catholic Worker, who also show up and advocate for world peace, (since I was active with them beginning in 1991 doing service for the "poorest of the poor").   Car camped briefly outside of the beltway at the Watkins Nature Center with IWW activist Jesse Schultz, and then moved into the Hostelling International  travel hostel.  He and I attended the J20 court hearings to be in solidarity with the protesters, some of whom we worked with during D.C. Occupy at both McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza in 2012.
Went to New York City for three weeks, and chanted Vedic mantrams and historically later songs and chants from the Sanatana Dharma, all around the outside and also inside of the United Nations complex, in order to neutralize the negative energy.  Daily went to Union Square and chanted with Harinam NYC, and attended the huge Ratha Yatra Festival of the Chariots, which went from 45th St. & 5th Ave. all the way to Washington Square Park.  Spent a day visiting the Hindu Temple in Flushing, NY, which was celebrating their 41st anniversary, and enjoyed special pujas and cultural performances.
Am booked into the DUO travel hostel on 11th St. NW in Washington, D.C. until June 24th, and have advised all that if they wish to do anything with me, now is a good time to make contact.

Immortality Is Us

Twelve hours since waking up in my peaceful room in Honolulu, still
continuously
watching the activity of the mind.

Regardless, we are not these bodies, and we are not these minds.
We are never the appearance of playing any part whatsoever in the social life's dramatics.  The entire worldly play must be objectively witnessed!

There is nothing else to be achieved.  If you want to help this world, then be established in the fourth dimension.

Through a 'fiddichian penumbra.

Hey what the fuck, y'all?  How was your day?  I just got back from Honolulu's Chinatown, and enjoyed being at "Proof", a cool bar in an alley off of a street whose name I don't even begin to recall.  [This is NOT Waikiki Beach.]  Enjoyed a shot o' Glenfiddich 15 yr. old, and heartily ate a smoked duck 'n bacon on sourdough sandwich, with a pint of local beer of course.  Tripped on out of there, and meandered back to my place.

Just sitting here at the computer, wondering why anybody takes any shit from anybody else, for any reason whatsoever.  It just dawned on me that the only mistake I ever made in my whole life, is that I did not just haul off and punch as hard as possible the first jackass who gave me his (or her) shit!  I should have laid the motherfucker out flat.

I want everyone involved in the ongoing struggle of peace & justice activism, and radical environmentalism, during these postmodern crazy times, to attack the hell out of the problem in front of your face as hard as possible, and if you don't want to do this, then go somewhere else and do something that you might be good at.

Hey, that's where I am at right now, at 9:53 P.M. on the island of O'ahu in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Is that okay with you?  It's way way way okay with me.  Hip Hop the planet, and don't be late.
