Message 14.VI.'26

Warmest spiritual greetings, Spent the morning on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. , getting a haircut at Jajo’s, and then ambled to Call Your Mother on 8th Street for a salmon cream cheese capers onions on an everything bagel with coffee. Boarded the Metro at Eastern Market and went to the Smithsonian Mall for one last visit to the Freer/Sackler galleries; plugging into the spiritual unity represented by the incredible works of art featuring avatars, bodhisattvas, saints and sages, and so much more. Sat for a half hour in the Tibetan shrine room, fingering the jade mala, as OM reverberated continuously. It doesn’t get any better than this. Eventually headed out to the Metro (observing the feverish effort being made to quickly set up the National Mall for President Trump’s 250 America’s Birthday Rally) and am right this moment at the Martin Luther King Jr. Public Library sending out one last email message before returning to the Gateway Hotel to pack up and get a night’s sleep, before early rising Monday morning in order to get to Reagan Airport to begin the trip to an undisclosed destination in New England. It is with the profoundest relief that I leave the hopelessly difficult situation in the District of Columbia, right before the dog days of summer arrive. Nota bene: I am satisfied with the year and a half just spent here being supportive of the D.C. Peace Vigil in front of the White House in Lafayette Park, even though the vigil was forcibly removed due to the insane politics that characterize postmodern America. Regardless, one who follows spirit goes where one needs to go and does what one needs to do. If you are telling me that you wish to be enlightened, liberated, free, etcetera, and are planning to leave this world at your earliest convenience taking nothing here with you, then this is your path! You are cordially invited to remain in contact with me. Craig Louis Stehr Email: craiglouisstehr@gmail.com 14.VI.’26
