Just sitting here right this moment in the common area of the Building Bridges Homeless Resource Center in sunny Ukiah, CA , tapping away on the public computer before continuing with morning ablutions. Awoke late today, following an evening of coughing and expectorating as a result of taking everything possible for chest congestion and its attenuating inconveniences. But then, behind it all, the Hare Krishna maha mantram quietly goes on…and on…and on… No longer identified with the body nor the mind…Immortal Self I am! Ready for spiritually sourced direct action to destroy the demonic and return this world to righteousness. ~Merry Christmas~

On the Spiritual Platform in America

By now it is obvious that the postmodern global situation has plunged down an abyss that is endless. I mean, are you seriously believing that it is only cyclical, and if you hang in there and vote for the lesser of the two visionless major American political parties, and somehow keep the body and mind alive just a wee bit longer, that the clouds will open up and the sun will come shining through? You will win the lottery. You will effortlessly float up to the heaven of your choice. Bliss alone remains. On the other hand, how about we right now stop identifying with the body and the mind. Instead, let us all identify with the eternal witness of the body and the mind. Let us all organize and perform spiritually sourced direct action to destroy the demonic and return this world to righteousness. And then, go back to Godhead. Calling All Jivan Muktas!

Following a meeting with a staff person at Building Bridges Homeless Resource Center in Ukiah, California this morning, in which I was pleasantly informed that my exit date is March 9th at noon, headed out to the Plowshares Peace & Justice Center for a delicious free meal, and then boarded an MTA bus to the Ukiah Public Library, to use a new Dell public computer. Please allow me to share my retirement plan for your consideration, input, and support. The plan is to set up shop somewhere, and organize effective spiritually based direct action, in response to the abominable situation on the planet earth. The key is to identify with one’s true nature, as opposed to identifying with the body and the mind. This will allow the body-mind complex to be worked through without interference. Update: Ukiah, CA December 17th, 2023 A.D.

Awoke early at Building Bridges Homeless Resource Center, with the Mahamantra ongoing in the mind! Not certain what is up, but that hasn’t happened in awhile. Following morning ablutions, walked to the laundromat on Talmage Road and after loading in the load, checked LOTTO tix and purchased a Colombian coffee at the Speedway Gas Station. [N.B. Won a small amount of money for the second time in a week, and picked new numbers.] Returning, enjoyed sipping the coffee as the laundry tumbled, and answering Charlie the manager’s question as to where I’d been the past couple of months. At that point, “frequent flier” Thomas Cook arrived with tall tales, which mixed it up a bit with my detailing the latest brush with death, amidst the cacophony of Spanish speakers doing a lot of laundry, and the presence of children running around. As always, continued identifying with the ParaBrahman (id est: not the body and not the mind) while the Hare Krishna Mahamantra repeated in the mind effortlessly. Am now back at Building Bridges, awaiting the free sumptuous December 17th community meal at 5 o’clock to arrive. Got a Monday morning appointment to get the teeth cleaned by the hygienist at Adventist Health-Ukiah Valley. Everything just rolls on and on and on. The Real You Is Not Affected by Anything at All

Warmest spiritual greetings, Was moved out of the temporary hallway cot situation, and into the dorm. Am pleased to report that because I was away so long at two Adventist Health hospitals and then the Redwood Cove SNF for the antibiotics regimen, that I am “starting over” at Building Bridges Homeless Resource Center, and am not therefore going to be part of the mass exit on January 9th at noon. I am entitled to another three month stay beginning December 11th. Meanwhile, the federal housing voucher expired in error; the previous time spent in a hospital and a SNF somehow did not get that termination date extended…the housing navigator is looking into the problem. Otherwise, ambled to Plowshares this morning for the free meal, which was seriously welcome following a celebratory evening at the Ukiah Brewing Company upon my return to the big outside. Whereas there is ample money in the SBMC checking account due to not spending any for months and the SSA and SSI disbursements continuing to be auto-deposited into the checking account, (plus food stamps increasing as well), it is with great joy at having survived this latest round of treating a viral bacterial blood infection, (which would have been fatal if not detected in a subsequent blood test following my discharge from the Cloverdale SNF in the previous round of fighting this infection, in which the growing bacteria avoided detection because it had adhered to the wires of the Implanted Cardiac Defibrillator), it was therefore both appropriate and possible to go all out at the Ukiah Brewing Company last night. Along with enjoying three of the best brews during Happy Hour, added a shot o’ 12 yr. old Red Breast, known as the “nectar of the Irish Gods”, plus devouring a steak sandwich, the evening exponentially improved when someone suddenly walked up and inquired if I was Craig. My early 70s and beyond fellow communard Jon L. from East Bay Food Not Bombs was in town! This led to a wonderful reunion, replete with sharing stories which brought into the conversation the bartender and other patrons. Hours later, I walked back to Building Bridges completely identified with the Divine Absolute, and slept more soundly than had been done in years, awakening to everyone telling me how wonderful it is that I have returned to this most unique living situation.
